Who can look at an art portfolio without remembering Jane Eyre, who is so happy and proud to show her artwork to Mr Rochester? Or Helen Graham's portfolio in The Tenant of Wildfell Hall?
The Tenant is the second and last novel by Anne Bronte, and a great development it is, too, from Agnes Grey, the first novel (which is terrible). Anne Bronte was the youngest Bronte sister, "the pretty one of the Brontes" as she is sometimes called. However, Anne also died young, and never married. The only Bronte sister who married was Charlotte.
Female art plays an important role in both Jane Eyre and Tenant, in Tenant especially. Tenant is the story of the marriage between an angelic girl and a bad boy that goes completely wrong. Personally, I think both were to blame for this, it was not just the boy's fault.
I had a look at some lovely student portfolios at the art exhibition the other day. I wish them all the best in their studies! 😉 And If you are looking for a marriage between an angelic girl and a bad boy that goes well, turn to Fifty Shades of Grey! Can't wait for the new film 😀
Have a good evening, always with beauty and a book! 💝💝💖💋💋💋💄💄💄
