UNFORTUNATELY FOR OUR BELOVED CHRISTIAN GREY

Are tattoos protected by law? Of course! They are freedom of expression under Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights (hereby called the Convention 😉). Unless they contain obscenity or racial/ hate speech, they are protected. Also, together with surgery, tattoo and body piercing is among the few occasions where an individual can consent to violence done against them. (Unfortunately for our beloved Christian Grey, sadomasochism is not one of those occasions. BDSM is illegal). Premiering the new tattoo! Isn't it perfect???? I was so ill recently that I had to delay showing off the lotus flower tat. I'm OK now, and here I am this afternoon 😀

A couple of years ago, I heard a tattoo expert speaking on the radio. I don't remember his name, but I think he attends tattoo conventions, panels and does research. He maintained that, though tattoos are now in vogue, they will always be transgressive. This is because, (a) they are dangerous, (b) when you do a tattoo you let a stranger touch your skin with a needle, and, (c) there will always be people who disapprove of them.

This won't be the last tattoo, of course. More to come!
Have a great evening, always with beauty and a book! 💄💝💋💄💄
